zenlikebuddha:

Food is alive. It’s meant to die. Preservatives are unnatural. This is disgusting.

In other words, artificial food isn’t food, and you have no idea how old it is. If it doesn’t break down in HALF A YEAR, what makes you think your body can digest it in a matter of hours? It wont, because it can’t.

Even my organic salads don’t cost that much. I buy what I need, when I need it, nothing gets thrown out, every scrap that isn’t edible gets composted (and I live in an apartment in a downtown area) everything is homemade, you’d be amazed at how cheap that style of veganism is. I assure you I’d spend more if I lived off fast food…

Just so you all know…

A list of vegan options at Quizno’s Subs

I’ve recently had a couple fellow vegans come into my work and were pleasantly surprised by all the options there, and have been coming back.

Here’s the list - which is actually longer than the list of our non-vegan items;

Breads; Wheat*, white*, wraps*.

Ingredients; Tomatoes, lettuce, romaine lettuce, guacamole, black olives, red onion, yellow onion, sauteed onion, mushroom, sauteed mushroom, green bell pepper, sauteed green bell pepper, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, jalapeno, banana pepper, pepperoncini pepper, grapes, cucumber, garbonzo beans.

Seasonings; Oregano, salt and pepper, garlic.

Dressings; Red wine vinaigrette, acai vinaigrette*, raspberry chipotle vinaigrette*, balsamic vinaigrette, canola oil, honey french*, BBQ sauce*, hot sauce*, stone ground mustard, yellow mustard, honey bourbon mustard*.

*None of these items contain any noticeable evidence of animal product in them or listed on the packaging, but that doesn’t mean they are absolutely free of them, so if you have an actual allergy to dairy or eggs, especially a severe one, avoid these. If you have a severe allergy to any non-vegan OR vegan ingredient, don’t eat here, often multiple subs are made by one person without changing gloves.

So if you’re not worried about your food runs on vacation or with non-vegan friends including food that is not organic or possibly even GMO, but vegan none-the-less, now you know another place you can go!
