I can tell you right now I’ll be one of the fans to stay forever. She’s earned it.

When it comes to people in my personal life, or people outside of it whom I admire, I take a great deal of time figuring out if they are worth being part of my life, and when they are, they are nothing less than just that. I either truly like a person, or don’t invest time and energy in them, and when I do truly like a person, I’ll never leave them, whether or not they leave me is their call.

OMFG Hello Kitty flowers are the most adorable thing ever. Are those white mums with jelly beans on them? Whatever it is, it’s really cute!

Seeing her play guitar is pretty much the sexiest fucking thing ever. Aside from seeing her play piano, that is.

I like her as much as I do because I studied art, art history, fashion, and symbolism formally for 4 years and she’s extremely akin to my interests, and I do like her music as well. She’s the only artist that has existed in their prime in my life time that I’ve been genuinely interested in from an artistic viewpoint. To me she’s a visual artist, and a performance artist who happens to also have a singing talent, not the other way around. I truly like what I see from her. As for the dress made of meat and the meat hook imagery, among things, I like what she said. When everyone was so seemingly shocked by it she said that what she wore was the same thing as the leather people wear, or the meat people eat, there should be no reason that seeing another form of the same thing should shock anyone who would wear leather or eat meat. The egg symbolism was an entirely other topic in general and had nothing to do with animal symbolism. She also is openly against the wearing of real fur, but then again most people seem to be. As for the dress made of meat, she explained later that not only was not from a factory farm, but it was eaten, not preserved in any way nor thrown out. Both my bf and I are both vegan, wastefulness is the only thing we find offensive, we both absolutely loved the symbolism of it and the fact that it shocked meat eaters, of all people. Also, yes, she eats meat, but I don’t hold that against people, she often specifies organic and all-natural food when she talks about food, besides, when it’s your mind verses a whole world of teachers and doctors, and family that lie to people in general from day one, often without knowing, I can’t hold that against anyone, besides, one of her few celebrity friends is Ellen DeGeneres, who is a vegan, so I’m not too worried. I don’t dislike people for eating meat, no, to me it’s understandable, I come from an Italian family as well, everything they eat has meat or cheese in it, it’s almost hard for me to visit them because of it, but that’s also why I’m probably the most tolerant, patient, understanding vegan most people will ever meet, if other vegans dislike me for that reason, so be it, a person can’t be angry and reasonable at the same time.
