McDonald’s vows to stop pork suppliers confining sows in crates
The company will phase out the use of gestation crates, the cramped stalls that millions of mother sows are confined to while they raise piglets.“Pigging out at McDonald’s will be better in the future, now that America’s top fast food chain has demanded that farmers let their pigs out of gestation crates by 2022.”
10 years time? good job Mcdonalds. Way to put the foot down.
Uhm, there is no technical reason this should take more than 1 or 2 years… 10 years? I thought this was progress until I got to that part.
