To fellow vegans, and non-vegans alike, remember why investing in organic (preferably wildflower) honey is vital
Some vegans consider honey to be non-vegan, because it does make use of an animal product. However, keep in mind, veganism is not about not using animals, it’s about using animals in their natural, synergetic way. The natural roles animals have is the reason veganism can exist in the first place, specifically the role insects play, most specifically; honey bees. If you are vegan I still encourage the use of organic, local, wildflower honey. Reasons for this are because buying local allows you to make sure the bees are treated responsibly, don’t have so much honey taken that it takes away from the amount they need for their own food, allowed to hibernate, have access to organic wild plants that are free from pesticides that can kill the bees, encourages keeping organic flowers in the wild for wild and organically raised bees to access, increasing the population - which is vital to the survival of all plant species, allows the bees to be further from populated areas with higher levels of cell phone frequencies that increase the death rate of honey bees, and fund beekeepers who practice all of the above to help them continue these practices and grow.
By responsibly/seasonally buying organic wild flower honey you help in the honey bees survival.
So, as a vegan, I strongly encourage everyone consider this, since quite literally everything is resting on the survival of bees.

This actually makes me so sad… She was one of the singers I remember most from my childhood. My mom would always play her CDs when I was really little, she’d play it whenever she vaccuumed, and would have it loud enough to hear over it and she would jokingly sing along. I actually feel like I just lost another part of my childhood to the permanent part of the past… This actually makes me kind of deeply sad, it reminds me of more than I’ll admit. :(

Really, conservatives just hate women. They resent the fact that we work, go to school, vote, everything. Their entire stance on birth control, abortions and social programs is a thinly veiled attempt to take us back to a time when we had less rights. Take away our birth control and we get pregnant. Take away our abortions and we have to keep the baby (in their minds, anyway). Take away certain social programs to help support ourselves (mainly food stamps, WIC and housing assistance) and they think that will force us to get married to a man who can support us. Take away other social programs like daycare subsidies and then we have no choice but to stay at home and take care of the kids because the cost of daycare eats into any additional income. Men who have always relied on their male privilege to get them through life cannot handle seeing a women succeed, or even exist, without them. They figure if you keep kicking them back down, they’ll eventually give up and settle for some loser who doesn’t deserve them but has been given all the opportunities in the world to succeed because he possesses a penis.

Women do not get raped because they were wearing certain clothing. If that was true having an nice house would be asking for a robbery, walking home from school would be asking for an abduction, or driving would be asking for a car accident. Stop the victim blaming.

Seriously, this whole “what you were wearing caused for you to get raped” is such an easy excuse to cling to because people associate wearing revealing clothing with being of a lower class, or “trashy” and “cheap.”
